Bonita is an accomplished female double bassist who has many years of experience performing and teaching. She completed her Master of Music (Performance) on Double Bass at Boston University, USA; and her Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne. Bonita won a position with the Opera Australia Orchestra in 2016 and performs at the Sydney Opera House.

Bonita has worked with several prestigious orchestras and ensembles within Australia, as well as in Europe, USA, and New Zealand. In Europe she has toured and performed with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and has also performed with orchestras such as the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Dutch Ballet Orchestra. She has had Tutti and Guest Principal engagements within Australia with ensembles such as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), Orchestra Victoria (Melbourne’s own opera and ballet orchestra), Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Whilst living in the USA, she was a member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Cambridge Philharmonic Chamber Players, and the esteemed early music ensemble, the Cantata Singers orchestra.
Bonita has had over fifteen years of experience teaching private individual lessons, group lessons, Melbourne Youth Music ensembles, Sydney Youth Orchestra tutorials, State Music Camp ensembles, and at several private schools in Melbourne and Sydney. She offers lessons in Sydney and online.
