I achieved my Bachelor of Music at Monash University and LMusA in cello under the tutelage of Josie Vains and Rohan de Korte, before moving to Germany to study under world-renowned cellists Professor Josef Schwab (Hans Eisler, Berlin), Professor Joachim Hess (HMDK Stuttgart) and Professor Jan Ickert (HfMDK Frankfurt).
My professional journey includes performances across Australia, Europe and South America as both a soloist and orchestral musician. I’ve held positions with the Darmstadt Philharmonic and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and performed as a soloist with the Melbourne String Ensemble on their 2013 Europe tour. Beyond classical music, I’ve also played with bands in Australia and Germany as a keyboardist, bassist and vocalist, with original compositions featured on radio and television.
I have significant teaching and directing experience. I’ve taught private lessons in cello (beginner to university level), piano, bass guitar, music theory and musicianship, and directed ensembles ranging from string orchestras to chamber groups, choirs, and a cappella ensembles.
