Emily is an experienced pianist and cellist, who aims to curate and foster love for music through teaching. Experiences ranging in ensembles and solo performances, chamber and orchestral music, recording, tutoring and teaching, her expertise enables students to receive first-hand insight to the boundless musical fields. She has been awarded the Licentiate Diploma in Music with Distinction (LMusA with Distinction) for cello, the Licentiate Diploma in Music (LMusA) for piano, the Associate Diploma in Music (AMusA) for piano and cello. She has also completed VCE Music Performance with a raw perfect score of 50, and consequently been the recipient of the Premier’s Award for Music Performance. Emily has won over 70 prizes throughout the years in music competitions and performed several cello concertos with orchestras.
Emily’s diverse experiences in AMEB, VCE Music Performance, and music theory allows a broad range of musical elements to be explored. With a specialised musical skill-set, complementary with her tailored teaching style unique towards each student, she hopes to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment for students to grow as a musician and as an individual. Championing and embracing the intricate technicalities of music alongside its musicality, Emily endeavours to empower her students to reach their own goals with her utmost support.
