Hi, I’m Nicholas Lawrance, a dedicated flutist and passionate educator studying at the University of Melbourne. I have performed in ensembles such as the ACT Youth Orchestra, with my dedication to music being recognised with The Canberra Symphony Orchestra Prize for Outstanding Dedication to Music (2024).
In addition to my musical experience, I have a strong background in working with children. As an Outside of Hours School Care Educator at Canberra Girls Grammar School, I work with children from kindergarten to year six, creating a supportive and engaging environment. My experience in childcare has strengthened my ability to connect with young learners, ensuring they feel comfortable, motivated, and inspired.
As a teacher, I strive to make flute lessons both enjoyable and rewarding. Whether a student is just starting out or looking to refine their technique, I tailor my approach to their individual needs, helping them grow in confidence and skill. My goal is to share my love for music while fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
