Gabby Hill (Kurowski) is a highly experienced flute teacher, having worked in some of Melbourne’s finest independent schools.
Gabby holds qualifications from the University of Melbourne, having completed a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Diploma of Education.
During her university studies Gabby enjoyed performing with the University of Melbourne Orchestra and the University of Melbourne Flute Ensemble, and was also awarded her Associate in Music (flute performance) from the AMEB.
Gabby is a previous winner of the Leslie Barklamb Flute Scholarship competition (13 years and under section) and also holds qualifications from the KMEIA, having completed the Kodaly Teacher Training course. She is also an experienced Classroom Music teacher, and has previously taught Classroom Music to both junior and senior school students.
Other highlights of Gabby’s career include sitting as an adjudicator for both the Leslie Barklamb Flute Scholarship competition and the Victorian Flute Guild Ensemble competition, being involved with the Melbourne Youth Music Summer School and the State Music Camp and playing flute and piccolo in various school productions over the years. Gabby has also performed at weddings and corporate functions around Melbourne.
