I have been working as a string teacher and performer in Sydney for the past 25 years and moved to the Adelaide Hills in December 2021 .
During my time in Sydney I taught in numerous school string programs with students from K – 12, as well as adults. I am also an AMEB string examiner .
I hold an M.Teach and in 2019 spent time at the University of Indianna, Bloomington studying with Mimi Zwieg at the Summer String Teachers Retreat – she is a world renowned teacher famous for the calibre of her students.
As a busy freelance musician I regularly performed with the Opera Australia Orchestra, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs and maintained a busy schedule of recordings and performances in all genres from classical, rock and pop to film scores.
I believe that music is a universal language from which all students can benefit. Not all students will go on to be professional musicians, however the skills and experiences that they are exposed to in music lessons are invaluable and will stay with them throughout life.
This philosophy underpins my teaching and enables, and encourages, my students to achieve their maximum potential.
