GRAEME BROWN – While at ANU completing a mathematics and human sciences degree, was awarded an Arts Council grant to attended master classes in both classical and jazz guitar with guitarists Don Andrews and George Golla at the Academy of the Guitar in Sydney and to study Composition in Canberra with composer Don Banks.
Professional guitarist whose career has involved performing with Symphony Australia Orchestras (SSO, MSO & TSO) on many commercial concerts including Paloma Faith, Michael Parkinson, Broadway stars Leah Salonga and Bernadette Peters as well as the Pixar Movie Concerts and the Symphony of Heroes. Also performed with The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) in the BBC produced concerts of ‘Blue Planets” and ‘Dr. Who” at the Sydney Opera House. Touring includes many international artists such as Michael Crawford, Bernadette Peters and Sarah Brightman. Performed with the Sydney International Orchestra backing major international acts which include Michael Palin (Monty Python), Ramin Karimloo and Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds. Major theatre shows in which engaged as the guitarist include The Lion King, Wicked, Mary Poppins, Chicago, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
