I am an extremely passionate and highly experienced flute teacher and professional flautist. I teach all aspects of music and adapt my style and the repertoire taught to cater for each individual student. The focus on lessons would be learning a natural technique through reading music, but also through improvisation, composition and playing by ear.
I hold a Masters of Music from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Music (hon) from UWA and a DipEd in Music Education from ECU. I am currently working on my PhD in music performance through the ANU. I have 14 years of teaching experience of all ages and abilities.
I have played with the Sydney Symphony and Auckland Philharmonia as well as many other orchestras and ensembles, as well as learning from world renown flautists such as Michael Cox, Ian Clarke, Felix Renggli and Wendy Quinlan. Due to this I can draw from a wide array of teaching styles and concepts to help each individual reach their full potential.
