I am offering violin lessons and piano lessons for students of all ages. I have a Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, in which I majored in classical violin. In addition to this, I have a Master of Teaching (Secondary) Internship at the University of Melbourne, with over five years of classroom teaching experience.
I have many years of experience teaching violin and piano and have developed a range of strategies to cater for different student learning styles. For young beginners, I use Suzuki methodology to ensure that they develop a love for playing before all else! Many of my strategies come directly from my university degrees and have been effective in improving both technique and overall musical understanding.
I have prepared students for AMEB exams, but also have many students who are simply learning for fun.
I am also offering tutoring for students completing VCE music, to assist with the theory and aural components of the end of year exam.
Lessons will take place in my home in Pascoe Vale
If you’d like to start learning violin or piano with an enthusiastic, experienced, and patient teacher give me a call and we can organise a trial lesson!
