Marta is passionate about music and about teaching participants in her lessons to enjoy and appreciate music. She has taught at the ANU’s School of Music, Gorman House Art Centre, Arts Council of the ACT and at numerous music organisations, primary schools and pre-schools in the ACT for almost 40 years. She also had several appearances and interviews about music education on TV, radio (including Sydney radio station) and newspapers in the ACT. Marta was trained at the Zoltan Kodaly School of Music and Teachers Training Collage, Hungary where she became an accomplished musician and music educator (BMus, BSc-Math, Dip-Ed). The Kodaly approach to music education which Marta uses to impart music skills to participants has global appeal. It is widely acclaimed for its wholistic approach in developing musical abilities. Marta’s warm and caring approach will win over her students of any age, even if they’ve never learnt music before. The ‘Play the Piano To Enjoy’ MUSIC PROGRAM -For Adult Beginners and Children, from the age of 12, is open to all people who would love to learn to read music and play the piano for their enjoyment without the pressure of concert performances and exams.
