A graduate of the UWA Conservatorium of Music and a Wesley scholar alumnus, Martin is an accomplished trumpet player and performer in the WA music scene. His tutelage includes Fletcher Cox (Sydney Symphony Orchestra), Peter Miller (WA Symphony Orchestra) and Paul de Cinque (UWA), who have seen him develop into a passionate trumpet player and musician, with deep experience in chamber, solo and orchestral settings. Martin is employed as a Casual Trumpet with the WA Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared on stage with the Orchestra Collective, WA Youth Orchestra (including joint projects with the WA Symphony Orchestra), WA Charity Orchestra, WA Wind Symphony, Perth Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (MetSO) and Fremantle Symphony Orchestra.
As well as performing, Martin is dedicated to sharing music with others in the community, including young and emerging musicians. Holding multiple teaching positions within the WA private schooling system, Martin is committed to introducing young people to music of all styles and providing them with opportunities to express themselves through music. He believes in teaching through inspiration, striving to bring out the best in his students by encouraging them to explore their individuality.
