Mary teaches both children and adults from her home studio in Tecoma next door to a playground (ideal for waiting siblings!).
She has a teaching approach that is reportedly gentle, patient and creative, making the lessons enjoyable and engaging. There are games, props and puzzles which she has created during her many years of teaching, making the journey of learning the piano an exciting adventure.
Lessons are structured to include all the various aspects of music-making, including sight-reading, theory, technique, aural skills, scales, composition, improvisation, and more. She gives each student the individual attention they need, giving them a thorough grounding in the infinite world of music-making.
She is qualified through AMEB with Grade 7 Piano and Grade 3 Music Theory. She is also qualified as an Art Therapist and Holistic Counsellor.
Lessons are payable on the day of attendance but if a child is unwell you can quickly let Mary know prior to the scheduled lesson and no fee is charged.
Making the world a more beautiful place to be through music.
