I am a saxophonist currently in my third year in the Bachelor of Music at JMI. I have been teaching saxophone for the past 3 years, studying music for 9 years and performing for 5 years.
Since childhood I have been surrounded by music, taking part in youth programs, lessons and workshops in both the classical and jazz mediums. After commencing studies at JMI in grade 10, I have been guided by many mentors, peers and friends within Brisbane’s jazz community. In 2023, I spent some time in New York City receiving instruction from contemporary jazz musicians and exploring the rich musical culture of the city.
My musical journey has taken some unique turns and has given me the chance to explore, hone and take pride in a craft.
My aim is to provide you with a calm, comfortable and collaborative space to explore and create music. I offer lessons to all ages and beginner to intermediate level students. In lessons we will combine instrument technique, reading skills, music theory and improvisation to suit your needs and current skill set. I hope we can discover what works best for you and have fun in the process.
My prices are $30 for 30mins, $45 for 45mins and $60 for 1 hour.
Please feel free to message or call me to arrange times.
