I am a highly qualified and successful teacher of beginner to Diploma Level students. I have encouraged my students to work to their full capacity, acknowledged the individual and helped them grow in confidence and self esteem while having fun and pursuing their personal goals.
During lessons we work on Technique, Repetoire, Sight Reading, Aural Work, Rhythm, Music Theory and Musicianship, Music History, Music Storytelling, Expression, Exam Performance Preparation, Memorisation, Practising strategies and working towards our goals.
In the past, I have taught at Tara Anglican Girls School at North Parramatta for 6 years and also at Cerdon Catholic College at Merrylands, both as a Private Piano Teacher. I have also held the post of President of the North West United Music Teachers Association for 10 years and Membership Secretary of the United Music Teachers Association for 1 year.
My students enter AMEB Exams in Piano, Piano for Leisure, Theory and Musicianship and have extremely good results. Practical AMEB Exams are held at my Studio, thus saving the hassle of going into the City or to Penrith, worrying about traffic and being in an unfamiliar Studio for their exam.
As a member of both the Music Teachers Association of NSW and United Music Teachers Association, I am always updating information on the latest developments in teaching and the availability of concerts in which I can enter my students, to improve their performance abilities.
HSC Music Performance is another area in which my students have excelled
