Phyllis Aslanides

I am a piano teacher and have been teaching for 5 years; mosty beginners and older adults who are relearning or are new. I worked with Transpose Studio in Alice Springs, NT as a teacher from 2018 to 2022.
I then began teaching privately from my home.
In 2023 I moved back to Melbourne to be closer to family.
I completed the Certificate of Music Teaching in Launceston with St Cecilia School of Music.
I have use the Faber method books, AMEB Comprehensive and Piano for Leisure series up to level 2 and plan to usilise the St Cecilia School of Music syllabus and the Piano Academy Syllabus.
I prefer personal individual lessons ranging from 30 minutes for young students to 45-60 minutes for older students.
I continue to have piano lessons as I believe in ongoing professional development and I love learning new skills. I attend seminars and workshops regularly.
Students are welcomed to proceed at their own pace.
Having access to a keyboard is essential and regular practice will help their progress.
