Linh Doan is an award-winning piano educator, having graduated with distinction from The University of Melbourne with a Master of Teaching Performance degree. Her musical journey commenced at the age of 4 under the instruction of Ms. Huong Hoang in Vietnam, where she dedicated 13 years to her studies at the prestigious Vietnam National Academy of Music. Linh further honed her skills at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA), Sydney, earning a Bachelor of Music Performance degree on a full scholarship.
Throughout her time in Sydney, Linh contributed her expertise to various music institutions, nurturing numerous students towards success in their AMEB piano examinations. Upon her return to Vietnam, she assumed roles as a piano teacher and accompanist at the esteemed Vietnam Academy of Music and the United Nations International School in Hanoi. Subsequently, Linh established her music studio, where she garnered recognition with the Trinity College Award for her guidance of students achieving exemplary results in Trinity exams in 2015 and 2016.
In 2016, Linh was awarded a scholarship to pursue nine months of intensive piano performance training under the mentorship of Prof. Duffek Mihaly at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. Her commitment to excellence in teaching yielded remarkable results as three of her students clinched top honours at international piano competitions in Rome, Vienna, and New York during 2017 – 2018. Linh’s dedication to her teaching career was further acknowledged with a diploma for excellence in music education from the American Protégé International Competition held at Carnegie Hall, New York, spanning from 2018 – 2023.
Following the completion of her master’s degree, Linh was granted a prestigious scholarship from the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalization (OeAD) for a specialized piano performance training course under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Claudius Tanski. Since 2020, Linh has flourished as a freelancer artist, offering her talents as a pianist and educator in Salzburg, Austria. Engaging in diverse musical endeavours, Linh has notably collaborated on an acclaimed Bach Project alongside Prof. Claudius Tanski. Moreover, her students have achieved remarkable success, securing first prize in international piano competitions held in Salzburg, Barcelona, New York, Bonn and Hanoi.
Currently, Linh can only give online piano lessons, however, she will be available to give live lessons from June 22, 2024, in Adelaide.
