Rachel, a skilled and passionate flautist and dedicated music educator, brings a wealth of experience to her teaching approach. Tailoring lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual musical aspirations, Rachel extends her guidance to students of all ages (it’s never too late to embark on a musical journey!).
Whether you’re picking up the flute for the joy of a new hobby or striving for excellence and mastery, Rachel fosters an environment where goals can be cultivated, and students experience the encouragement and motivation needed to achieve them. Her track record includes successfully preparing students for AMEB examinations, VCE music, and various competitions.
Rachel’s musical journey began with notable achievements, including earning her Associate Diploma with Distinction in flute performance at the age of 14, accompanied by the Australian Music Examinations Board Leslie Barklamb Flute Award. The following year she attained her Licentiate Diploma with Distinction. She is a Fellow of Trinity College London (FTCL), and has completed her Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Rachel further honed her skills through the performance program at the elite Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).
Drawing from her extensive knowledge and experiences gained alongside internationally renowned pedagogues and flautists, Rachel provides both inspirational and practical flute instruction. Her music lessons are thoughtfully designed to be musically rewarding, mentally stimulating, and ultimately enjoyable for each student.
