Rada Tochalna was born in Sevastopol where she began her musical career as a pianist. Rada graduated with Honours from the Music Academy in Lviv (Ukraine). Then she undertook her Master degree of Arts in Music Performance at the Zurich University of the Arts, where she received honours. Recently Rada finalised her third Masters at the Melbourne University specialising in Performance Teaching. Rada has been teaching music and performance for 10 years throughout Ukraine, Switzerland and Australia and has studied numerous methods of vocal and performance pedagogy. For over 10 years she has been teaching voice, piano and junior choirs in Melbourne. Rada held the position of the Head of Vocal Studies at the Caroline Springs of Music for 4 years and successfully led their school choir, which was actively participating in local festivals and competitions. She has taught for a number of high profile performance and music schools across Australia including KIDKO Music School, Christ Church Grammar School, Lowther Hall Grammar School, Little Yarra Steiner School, Malvern Valley Primary, Music World Enterprise. Currently Rada is Contemporary Voice Teacher and Junior Choir Music Director at the Balcombe Grammar School.
