Sharon Davis is a professional pianist and educator based in Melbourne, Australia.
She’s an experienced teacher, and was an early adopter of teaching piano online, since March 2020. She teaches using two cameras, one over her hands at the keys, for demonstrating and another on her face. Online lessons are recorded and saved for students to view when practicing.
She’s a Keynotes teacher, embracing this innovative group piano lesson method which includes multiple extension challenges for every song. This means there’s always something interesting and challenging for everyone in the group. Beginners as young a 4 thrive on this program.
In her 30 year career as a live musician, Sharon has played with and supported some of the finest musicians from Australia and overseas, most notably Australian Idol star Emily Williams, ARIA Award-winning, platinum selling singer Kate Ceberano and Grammy Award-winning American trumpeter, composer, producer Maurice ‘Mobetta” Brown.
Sharon maintains a busy solo and band gig diary in and around Melbourne at venues such as Memo Hall, The Spiegeltent, The Paris Cat, National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne Town Hall and Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre.
She holds an Associate Diploma in Jazz Piano and degree in Arts Management from the WA Academy of Performing Arts.
