My name is Tianyou and I am a passionate musician currently looking to offer private tuition as I complete my university studies.
About Me:
I bring over 3 years of private tutoring experience, complemented by my current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance (Classical Performance) at the University of Adelaide. As a seasoned member of the Adelaide Youth Orchestra, currently in my 3rd year, I have honed my skills through major symphonic concerts. I have also played privately in a diverse selection of performances at weddings, musicals, and intimate gigs across Adelaide.
High School Education:
My journey as the principal violist during high school was marked by a wide variety of musical experiences, including quartets, chamber orchestras, cabarets, musicals, concerts, and memorable solos. Graduating in 2023 with a music scholarship, I carry with me the lessons learned and the passion cultivated during those formative years.
Teaching Approach:
My teaching philosophy is to help the students understand the stories behind what they’re playing and enhance their musicality. Together, we will explore proper techniques, develop essential skills, and foster a deep understanding of the art form. I encourage my students to express themselves through their unique styles, fostering creativity and individuality.
