Ella moved to Sydney in 2022, after having spent ten years studying, performing and teaching in Europe. Ella is a bilingual violinist (fluent in english and german) and has been teaching violin and viola to students of all ages for the past seventeen years.
Ella studied Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, during which time she also performed as a casual violinist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Ella moved to Germany in 2012 to continue her studies, specialising in baroque violin. She has performed with numerous ensembles in both Australia and Europe, and has thoroughly enjoyed performing with ensembles such as the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Australian Haydn Ensemble and Pinchgut Opera since having moved back to Australia.
A dedicated music educator, Ella has given instrumental lessons in Australia, East Timor and Germany.
Ella has extensive experience teaching children and adults, offering engaging and fun lessons tailored to suit the level, learning abilities and goals of each student. Excellent technique, aural and reading skills are essential foundations for learning a string instrument. Ella ensures that these skills are learnt and developed during each lesson. Learning ensemble skills, encouraging self confidence and inspiring students to think critically and creatively are key aspects of Ella’s teaching method.
