Vivien Spencer is a piano teacher with many years of experience. She can offer exam preparation, if appropriate, but prefers to give her students performance experience in small concerts. Vivien is an encouraging teacher, who works on technique and theory as well as musical performance and interpretation. Beginners are welcome. She studied piano with Merle Ross, later flute with Peter Edge and Vernon Hill at the Victorian College of the Arts playing in the University Orchestra, and later Frankston and Dandenong orchestras. She studied oboe with Anne Gilby and now plays oboe with the Surrey Hills Orchestra which holds major concerts at MLC, Barkers Rd, Kew in May and December each year and a Concertofest in August
